Last week, the StatLab team traveled to Canada for the Thermo Fisher Scientific CA Vendor Show, where we had the opportunity to connect with professionals from hospital labs, university labs, and more across the region.

We showcased our full portfolio that supports the entire laboratory workflow, but KT Slides were a clear standout. Many attendees were searching for solutions to adhesion challenges with their current slides, making KT Slides a key topic of discussion throughout the event.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. It was great to connect with you, introduce you to StatLab solutions, and discuss ways we can help address your lab's current needs.

Each month, we highlight team members who bring our StatLab CARES values to life by supporting our customers and the patients who depend on them.

This month, we’re proud to recognize our Product Support team for their responsiveness, expertise, and commitment to helping customers when they need it most.

Recently, the team received a call from a customer facing a critical situation after running out of their standard paraffin. Without an immediate solution, the lab risked halting processing operations. Our Product Support team quickly stepped in, explaining that patient tissue would remain protected when transitioning to a StatLab paraffin sample they had on hand, while also guiding the customer through potential considerations and best practices for a seamless switch.

Thanks to the team’s guidance and support, the customer was able to make the transition with confidence and keep operations moving without interruption.

Moments like these reflect what our Product Support team does every day—providing knowledgeable, timely assistance that helps laboratories continue delivering the best possible patient care.👏

Which microtome blade actually performs best?

In robust durability testing, PolyCut Plus outperformed nine standard blades — maintaining consistent performance beyond 500 sections while competitor blades declined over time.

The recent study also highlights why labs are making the switch:
✔ Long-lasting durability
✔ Reliable performance across tissue types
✔ Smooth sectioning with fewer defects
✔ Reduced costs without compromising quality
