You wouldn’t buy a cheap car seat for your child
You wouldn’t hire a cheap surgeon
You wouldn’t use a cheap parachute
Meanwhile, you’re shopping for your body like it’s a Groupon
And you might say “those examples are life and death”
Uh, YEAH. Your health and the mental obsession with food and yo-yo dieting impacts the one life you have more than anything else.
Hard truth, but truth nonetheless.
Going cheap costs you thousands more than paying once and solving it forever.
And most expensive of all are the moments you miss with your loved ones because you’re fixated on how you look in photos and at the pool with your kids.
Or how no matter how much your husband tells you you’re beautiful, you avoid intimacy because you hate the way you look naked.
That’s not a dynamic you will ever solve with weight watchers, Optavia, noom, 21 day fix, V shred, whole 30, or any other cheap, watered-down, one-size-fits-all s**t show of a diet.
You may not like this delivery, and that’s ok.
People who actually love you and want the best for you will tell you what you need to hear.
If we agree on that, we can also agree you’ve read more love in this caption than your actual friends and family members are willing to give you.
With love,
The Willetts
P.S. Before anyone comments “but but I saw success with (insert diet you lost weight with and then gained it back)!”
If someone inherits $2 million from a deceased family member and then blows it all the next year, do we label that person successful?
No, we say they mismanaged money because they had no impulse control or money management skills.
Same same 🤷🏼♂️ if you can’t do it for a decade, don’t do it today.
