111 women from 15 Kansas communities came together for one important conversation.

The M Factor 2 brought women together at the McPherson Opera House on August 29 for an evening focused on perimenopause and women’s health.

Centered around a screening of The M Factor 2 documentary, the evening also included a panel discussion with McPherson Center for Health providers Dr. Sarah Buchanan, OB/GYN and Certified Menopause Society Practitioner; Melisa Kieffer, PA and Menopause Society Member; and registered dietitian Suzanne Fleming.

The conversation covered menopause, nutrition and overall health.

Interest in The M Factor and The M Factor 2 shows us these are conversations women want to have — and we’re looking forward to continuing them.

Congratulations to Will Moore, recipient of our 5-Star CAREgiver Award!

Will was nominated by a patient who was involved in an accident while delivering packages. As they were being transported to the hospital, they were worried about the packages they still needed to deliver. Will stepped in and offered to return the packages to Walmart so the patient could focus on what mattered most: getting better.

It’s often the little things that make a big difference. Thank you, Will, for going above and beyond to care for our patients and our community!

Help us congratulate Will on this well-deserved recognition!

September is Malnutrition Awareness Month!

As we look ahead to Malnutrition Awareness Week, September 14–18, we're highlighting the important role nutrition plays in healing and recovery.

Malnutrition can lead to longer hospital stays, higher medical costs and increased health risks. Recognizing the signs early matters.

Stay tuned as we share more nutrition tips and resources from our Registered Dietitian, Suzanne Fleming, MS, RDN, LD!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Collin Harvey back to his hometown of McPherson and to the McPherson Center for Health family!

A 2014 graduate of McPherson High School, Dr. Harvey went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas before attending the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his Family Medicine residency at North Colorado Family Medicine in Greeley, Colorado, where he also received advanced training in obstetrical care.

Dr. Harvey chose family medicine because of the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community and build lasting relationships with patients. His medical interests include obstetrical and newborn care, chronic care management and end-of-life care, and he enjoys caring for patients of all ages.

While attending medical school in Kansas City, Dr. Harvey met his wife, Mataya, who is a nurse. The couple is excited to return to McPherson and make their home here with their two dogs.

Outside of work, Dr. Harvey is a proud Jayhawk fan and is looking forward to being back in Kansas for more KU games. He and Mataya also enjoy traveling, exploring new places and, of course, planning their trips around finding great new restaurants!

We’re so excited to welcome Dr. Harvey and Mataya back to McPherson! Help us give this hometown family a big McPherson welcome!
