As we prepare to open in June, there are a few supplies we are wishing for at The Centre Rogue Valley. We are a nonprofit Mindfulness centre located in the Rogue Valley Mall

Our goal is to provide classes in Compassionate Communication, Mindfulness, Yoga, and Art to our community on a siding scale so that cost is not a barrier to education and tools.

Many of you already know I LOVE recycling. If you have any of these items that are in good shape and that you would like to donate for community use, I would be so grateful. Donation reciepts available!

We were arguing about the dishes.

Shahar shares:

For the 47th time.

And I was winning.

I had the facts. The timeline. The evidence. I could have presented this in court.

She was wrong. Objectively. Scientifically.

And she still looked like she needed something I wasn't giving her.

Annoying.

Turns out she didn't need me to be right.

She needed to feel like we were in this together.

I needed to feel like my effort was seen.

Neither of us said that.

We said things about dishes.

There's a question NVC taught me to ask, somewhere around argument number 46:

What does she actually need right now?

Not: how do I win this.
Not: am I right (I am).

What does she need?

She needs to feel like she matters.
She needs to know I see how tired she is.
She needs to hear that she's not alone in it.

None of those things require me to agree.

Just to stop presenting evidence for a minute.

Southern Oregon has a new non-profit mindfulness centre opening in the Rogue Valley Mall.
We are located in the Rogue Valley Mall, upstairs across from Beck Shoes and Bath and Body Works.
We focus on making self care, growth, creativity, connection and community accessible to all of our community.

If you would like to take a peek at the beautiful facility before we open there will have an open house Friday, May 15th from 4pm-7pm.

We are out at Ashland Greenhouses celebrating bringing such beautiful plants into The Centre Rogue Valley in the Rogue Valley Mall.

Come and see us during our event tomorrow, Friday, from 4-7 PM to learn about what we do and tour the facility before we open!
When you do, you will be entered to win this beautiful basket from Ashland Greenhouses.

We are located upstairs in the Rogue Valley Mall across from Bath and Body Works.
