Six-year-old Lucy Johnson is more familiar with hospital visits than most kids her age.

Diagnosed with a rare inflammatory condition at just 1.5-years-old, Lucy has spent much of her childhood going to Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware for injections, IV infusions and other treatments. While the treatments were necessary, they were also frightening for little Lucy. That is until she met Ali, a goldendoodle facility dog at Nemours.

Ali is part of the hospital's Animal Assisted Therapy program called Dogs on Call. With Ali lending a paw during the difficult appointments, there were fewer tears and bigger smiles. That's why when Lucy held a lemonade stand this summer, she knew exactly where the proceeds would go. Lucy raised more than $600 for the 100% donor funded Dog's Call Program, helping ensure as many kids as possible get to experience the same comfort that Ali has brought her.

From the nerves before the pitch to the smile after it, every moment was worth capturing. ⚾️💙 ❤️

For Alivia, this first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies game was another special moment in a journey that has been filled with courage, strength and so many reasons to celebrate.

We went behind the scenes to capture the excitement, the support from her family and care team, and everything leading up to her big moment on the field.

After everything Alivia has faced, watching her step onto that mound and throw out the first pitch was pretty incredible.

A moment 42,000+ fans in attendance will remember forever.

Meet Malcolm, patient ambassador for the upcoming Nemours Children's Health Run & Walk in Delaware! 🏃‍♂️💙

What started as a relaxing 2023 family vacation to New England quickly turned into every parent's worst fear: an unexpected medical emergency requiring brain surgery and a lengthy stay in intensive care.

Once stable, Malcolm transferred to Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, where he had to relearn everything, from sitting up, to walking, to jumping. Over months of inpatient and outpatient rehab, he worked tirelessly with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, all while keeping up with his studies in our hospital school program.

Today, Malcolm is a healthy, active 11-year-old who loves playing sports with his friends. His family is grateful for the care they received close to home — and you can help us provide that same world-class care for other children.
