Waiting, extensions and uncertainty. The following months involved a lot of waiting and very little communication from the lender. Several extensions to the purchase agreement were made, patience was grown and nerves started showing (with both myself and the seller) with each passing week. One day, it would look like everything was falling into place. The next, it looked like it would surely fall apart. Two days before what was the expiration date of what was supposed to be the final extension, the lender revealed a clerical error and requested another extension. It didn't look like that would be agreed to by all parties, but at the last possible moment, the extension was granted and a few days later, the loan went through.
