So apparently people are “upset” about me leaving and I’m posting about “drama” people need to shut there mouths (keep in mind none of these people are customers of mine but a few) I’m not a business owner in New York anymore so I can speak my mind. I’ve given enough time & an equal opportunity for EVERYONE to have their tattoos finished and use up any remaining unused gift cards. I have a list for the unaware and EVERYONE OF THEM got an email or text as a reminder. I have also double checked and I made a post incase people got a new number or email so they would hopefully be informed. ALSO in the same post I said use the booking app if you want your tattoo finished ! I am so exhausted with trying to people please the unpleaseable I am done holding your hand through the booking process, it’s pretty simple, and walks you through it as you go. I pushed off my plans and posted my calendar to open up two extra days to give everyone a chance to last minute book. I can’t stress this enough, I have always appreciated everyones business no matter how big or small the tattoo. But my time in this state is over. I am finally following my dream & moving on to bigger and better things.
If you’ve always supported me, don’t bother reading this.
I told everyone I was worried about my business, and some people came out to support me. To those people, I appreciate all of you. I continued to try and push through for you guys.
You need to understand, I’m moving- I’m not quitting !This town doesn’t deserve my business. It never did. The amount of opportunities I passed up, never again.
I’m not talking just about the people, I’m talking about all the other things I have continuously dealt with. Business owners in this town tried to hurt me, including calling the police because I served sparkling grape juice during a winter event, “wine about winter”, because my shop at the time was holding AA meetings. I decided it would be more fitting to serve grape juice vs wine… because obviously that would be contradictory.
They wanted to shut my business down. About 10 police officers came into my shop like I was a criminal. Smelling the bottles and being a complete nuisance. The second they had the opportunity, people were looking for a reason to bring me down.
There was even a situation where a lieutenant walked into my shop with a fellow officer. He was questioning me about me parking in front of my own business. The lieutenant of the Medina police dep , Lieutenant Draper, came into my shop and confronted me, I can respect the rules, but what I could not tolerate was the absolute unacceptable demeanor and hostility of this man. The threats were unwarranted and it caused anxiety & made my clients fearful … all because of my vehicle being parked in the street. Meanwhile the entire street was open AND other people had done the same thing for much longer. However, only my vehicle was threatened to be towed.
I gave my personal phone number so it could be added to business cards to be kept in patrol vehicles. My hope was for these cards to be given to community members or those in search of help, struggling with addiction. I did that because I wanted to help people, I wanted to make a difference in this town. This was two days prior to the lieutenant harassing me.
That’s how I chose to give back, unfortunately this was how I was welcomed.
Then I had a meeting with the mayor, the chief of police, Lieutenant Draper, and another officer. During that meeting, the conversation turned into questions about what could happen if one of those cards was given out and someone went to a SELF HELP meeting and got rap*d
This is disrespectful and disgusting. I’m aware that situations can happen anywhere, but to pinpoint this directly to me and assume that this is something that would even slightly be tolerated or allowed in my presence is bu****it. That hurt me. This made me feel like my intentions were being questioned instead of appreciated.
I felt like the majority of this community dismissed me because of my looks and because of the type of business I created. They didn’t see someone trying to help. They saw an opportunity to criticize.
Then there was the Orleans county hub. I watched you write articles about businesses opening. This was my final straw. I asked them if they would like to write a story about my business and where I came from because maybe it could give someone hope that they could succeed even when they had nothing.
I watched stories get written about other tattoo shops in orleans County, yet I felt like my story was constantly dismissed. I can’t understand why this continued to happen. This isn’t a man trying to whine or complain, this isn’t a man being dramatic, this is a man who had a dream of helping others from all walks of life become better tomorrow than they were yesterday.
This community claimed to care about small businesses, but did it though ? If a business brings in revenue & neighboring locals outside of the normal residents isn’t that a good thing ?
I refuse to beg especially when I see other shops being recognized without half the effort put in as I have..it hurts. I’m done waiting to be seen.

S***** (don’t wanna be sued he’s the type that would)
buddy, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.
I’m going to say what I’ve kept quiet about for years.
When I came to Medina, I felt like you saw me as competition instead of another artist. I built my business from nothing. I worked alone, I sacrificed, and I proved that I could survive without needing a huge team, merchandise, or constant advertising. You and your team completely destroyed my name with LIES, lies that I was a skin head, a bad husband, a cheater, a bad business owner, on drugs, a con artist, a thief, I don’t honor my gift cards (but I honor yours when people get them for Christmas and don’t want to get a tattoo from you) the amount of disgusting accusations, you and your team have spread about me is untellin. None of this was ever said directly to me you know why? Because you’re all cowards! Funny thing is you are still scared because you’ve tried everything to get my shop closed. I even took down my sign and blacked out my windows and changed the name on the door people didn’t even know there was a tattoo shop there even after that I still competed with what? 6 tattooers? A bigger footprint a “bigger” following I let JUST MY WORK SPEAK! I wanted to compete but you knew you couldn’t, you wouldn’t instead of competing against me you spoke badly about me lied about me spit on me… eventually you’ll be humbled, it happened to me early on in my career. It made me a better person. What’s done in the dark will be brought to the light.
I don’t need a bunch of people around me to be successful. Or to stroke my ego. I know what I can do, and I know the work I put out. (do people know your work? I could show them for you I have an entire collection) you put my personal failures and flaws on display for the world to see. I won’t stoop to your extremely low level don’t worry your safe. The difference between me and you is I can open my shop anywhere and succeed even a place where no one knows me because when I open a shop I let my art speak, my tattoos speak, then my personality shows. You’re stuck, you can’t leave, you need Medina I don’t. I started my tattoo shop with hard work, dedication, honesty, and community service. Oh and from NOTHING but a dream after I got out of prison (you used that against me) you couldn’t walk 10 feet in my shoes. Your shop couldn’t survive without a team, merchandise, and advertising you couldn’t survive alone only relying on your tattoo work. I did for 10 years buddy 🙂 and I did it without a sign and the wrong business name on the door.
When I came here, I felt like you were threatened because you knew I was going to push myself and compete. Instead of letting the work speak for itself, I felt like my character was attacked, rumors were spread, and people were turned against me.
I stayed quiet for a long time because I believed my work would speak louder than anything else.
I’m one person, and I have continued to stand here. I can do every style your artists can do. It took a whole team, and I’m still here.
I CHOOSE WHEN I LEAVE. Nobody else chooses that for me.
My name AND reputation was attacked because people couldn’t argue with my work. I know what I’m capable of, and I know what I’ve accomplished. It’s more than you EVER HAVE!
For years, I lived rent-free in your thoughts. I started from nothing, and I built something.
I’m leaving because I want to not because you won. I can’t keep sitting in a town that feels like it has taken the life out of me.
I asked for support. I begged for support. I wanted to believe this community would stand behind me. This was never about the dollar amount, this was about community.
I wasn’t convinced to stay. Go back and look.
I survived police harassment
I survived a town smearing me
I survived a divorce and custody battle
I survived a motorcycle accident
I survived addiction
I survived constant harassment from business owners
I survived the death of my brother
I survived the sickness of my mother
I survived all the hard times
And I still came back to work and I didn’t let it stop me and now I’m here to tell my side to expose you for who you really are.
After my motorcycle crash and my divorce, the majority of my friends, family, and clients turned their backs on me. Why stay after losing so many people? Why continue putting myself through the same pain over and over again? My personal life should have NEVER BEEN USED AS A WEAPON against me but you know what ? That weapon turned out to be a double edged sword….
You want honesty?
Ninety percent of the people who donated to my GoFundMe were people I didn’t even know. I watch one person on there give less than anyone else and I knew this person was struggling financially but he still tried to help that ment more to me then anything….. but After everything my shop donated to and everyone I tried to help, very few people returned that same support when I needed it. Again this isn’t about money, support comes in many many ways. I was afraid.. instead of being supported in one of the worst times of my life I was spat on and my name smeared. For what ? Instead of extending a hand out to help me while I was down I was stepped on. The fears and anxiety of my life crumbling around me while I sat in that hospital bed helpless turned into real life nightmares. To have another business owner another tattoo “artist” take that opportunity to trash my name and spread continuous accusations really shows his character WHILE I WAS LAYING IN A HOSPITAL NOT KNOWING IF ILL EVER TATTOO AGAIN…… disgusting! Absolutely disgusting!that was a new low that I seen come from you. Jealousy is the root of all evil. Instead of growing by hard-work and honesty, you tried to build a clientele off of my back.
The crazy thing is, I never did those donations for recognition. I didn’t do them for tax write-offs. I did them because helping people was the right thing to do.
There were people I expected to see on that GoFundMe list, and they weren’t there. There were people I expected to hear from, and I didn’t even get a message asking if I was okay.
Out of everyone, there was one person who truly showed they cared. They showed up to the hospital, helped me, checked on me, and made sure I wasn’t alone.
They know who they are. E**** ****S
At that time, you were one of the most genuine people I had ever met. I had a mental breakdown and I pushed you away I’m sorry for that…..
Along the way, I have met a lot of good people, and for that I am grateful, they know who they are.
This was never about money. I hate money.
This was about spending 10 years trying to become part of a community and feeling rejected over and over again.
I’m leaving because I choose to.
I’m closing this chapter and moving forward.
One of the last things said to me that changed my life was from a man who knew me better than I knew myself… my best friend, protector, my brother Bobby Take RISKS,
“Life is filled with chances and choices. If you don’t take a chance, you won’t know if you made the right choice.”
with this I’m saying goodbye to the past and hello to new beginnings,
Pat
