The people who write the vitamin D reference ranges said, out loud, in 2024, that they don’t know what the number should be.

They also said they couldn’t find evidence supporting routine vitamin D testing in healthy adults.

Which means the number circled in red on your lab report is being measured against a range the people who wrote it say they can’t defend.

So if the number isn’t the answer, what is?
