Exciting. Terrifying. Empowering. ‼️

That’s my summary of starting student clinic last week!

Reality? Hands on for the win! You can’t get over it until you get into it.

On that first big day, my third client asked to add more time halfway through his session, rebooked before leaving the parking lot, and then left me a 5-star review. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I couldn’t stop crying. Thought about quitting. Didn’t want to go!

It was time for clinic and I was facing 9 hours of massage across two days, wondering if I was crazy to think I could actually do this.

When I got there, my teacher looked at my schedule and said, “You’re slammed. Do you want to move your middle client to another therapist?”

I said, “No. I want to move my first one. It’s deep tissue and I don’t want to do it.” 😂

He told me I could do it. Told me how to approach it.

So I said, then let me keep them all.

Because I’m here to achieve this.

And because I know myself well enough to know that if I walked away, I’d always wonder what I missed. What I might have been capable of if I had stayed.

So I showed up.

I leaned in.

I used my tools. Communication. Hot bamboo. Hot stones. Cupping. Scraping.

And I nailed that deep tissue.

Even discovered I might have a little fondness for it. 😳😂

I had a first-time client extend his session on the spot, give me a 5-star review, and book again before I even finished the day.

Apparently I’m also a little bit of a knot ninja.

And a frozen shoulder didn’t break me either. 😂

One week of clinic down.

One more step closer to Maui and 35 days of lomi lomi training. 🌺
