🌱What is the Haven for Children?
The Haven for Children is a local non-profit organization licensed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) of the State of Florida to provide therapeutic shelter care in a homelike environment for children from 0-18 who have been removed from their homes because of neglect, abuse or abandonment.
Their goal is to nourish and protect the children in their care and guide them toward positive self-growth. Currently, they have three homes that serve an average of ten children each. Each home is led by trained staff that provides 24/7 care, 365 days per year.
