It's hard to believe that a year ago I went back to school for massage therapy, and now I'm finally finished!

I graduated from my program last week and am taking a deep breath as I look back at all I've accomplished.

Whew!

To everyone who cheered me on or volunteered to be a practice massage client, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

You kept me going, inspiring me to learn an entirely new modality to integrate into my practice offerings.

I'm looking forward to weaving bodywork into your sessions as and when it's needed and appropriate for your evolution.

As of right now, I'm waiting to receive my license, and then it's all systems go!

In the meantime, you'll be hearing from me more regularly about Mind-Body-Energy Medicine topics, and how we can partner to move the needle on whatever you've got going on.

September is harvest time, when investment in sowing, tending and growing comes to fruition. What a perfect time to launch bodywork at Starleaf Wellness!

As Lyme Awareness Month comes to a close, I'm speaking about an important but sometimes overlooked part of healing from Lyme disease, especially if it's chronic.

My blog this week advocates healing emotional trauma as an essential component for complete mind-body healing and resolution of symptoms.

When there’s disease in the body, the emotions, wounds, stories that remain held in the energy field contribute to the inability to heal.

We cannot divorce our emotional selves from our physical selves. Releasing what's stuck emotionally is often the key to physical healing.

If you’ve ever wondered if you could have a session from the comfort of your own home, the short answer is yes!

Energy healing, whether it’s chakra and aura clearing protocols or biomagnetism, is about working in the non-tangible realm. By that I mean, working with the energy of your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, your behavioral patterns, your family of origins stories, as well as the energy of your physical body - organs, and systems and tissues. I’ve conducted sessions nationally and internationally with the same results I have when the client is in my office, on my table. What matters is how your life and health evolve from session to session.

What is the Lyme Magnetic Protocol?

Lyme Awareness Month begins this Friday and I'm kicking it off with a blog about the Lyme Magnetic Protocol, a core treatment strategy in my client practice.

Lyme is the most common vector-borne illness in the U.S. According to the Global Lyme Alliance, it's estimated there are over 475,000 new cases each year.

While most people who get Lyme disease fully recover with appropriate treatment, a percentage go on to develop chronic symptoms. For that subset of the population, life can become challenging.

Other culprits and factors may contribute to an entrenched infection and need assessing and addressing. That's when holistic approaches can be of enormous benefit.

I've been working with the Lyme Magnetic Protocol for the last decade and continue to be amazed by its efficacy!

Truth. Life is messy!

In the world of energy healing, it's common to hear phrases like 'love and light' or 'high vibes only'. Don't get me wrong – those are wonderful places to sit within yourself.

Yet, in that line of thinking there's a way in which other emotions like 'hate and dark' are sidelined, avoided, negated. They're valid too.

Emotions are simply data points that provide context for responses and decisions that best support you and the life you want to create.

Is it useful to act out of hate, shame, rage? Likely not. Do your more challenging, uncomfortable emotions help you better identify your values and how you want to show up? You bet.

I grew up in a household where difficult emotions were not acknowledged or accepted. In fact, they got shut down pretty damn quick! I carried that invalidation pattern deeply for years after I left home. It colored my relationships and affected my health. Clients commonly arrive in my practice carrying the same pattern.

It's a pattern worth evolving, moving through and beyond. Conscious awareness and acceptance of the full range of your human emotions is a much more aligned way to 'see deeply' as Joseph Campbell put it.

Springtime means my garden begins to grow again. It's my favorite time of year!
