💫 the reason synthetic peptides need to be injected is because they’re very unstable and the strength of the bond is weak (because it’s synthetic)
💫 bioactive (meaning from nature) is different in that the bond is very strong and can survive the digestive tract
💫 part of the testing these go through is lab tests that mimic the digestive tract
💫 Ths 1/2 life of a bioactive peptide is very short. They go into the body, perform their function and they’re out. There’s no feedback loop being activated! Meaning, the body is not being told to stop producing something.
💫 Synthetic peptides have a reaction that causes a feedback loop that says stop producing this thing (something endogenous). THIS is why synthetic peptides have to be dosed a specific amount depending on the person. An example of this is when someone takes testosterone, the body starts relying on it and STOPS making its own (feedback loop)
