One thing I’ve learned over time as a Mother-Baby Nurse is that breastfeeding education shouldn’t start after your baby is born.

Those first days can be a lot, and trying to learn everything about latch, milk supply, feeding cues, pumping, and what’s actually normal while also recovering and caring for a new baby can feel overwhelming.

That’s where my in-person breastfeeding class, Breastfeeding Before Baby comes in. This in-person class is a chance to learn the basics, ask questions, and know what to expect before your baby arrives!

We’ll talk about those first feeds, getting a good latch, milk supply, how to know your baby is getting enough, pumping, common concerns, and more.

Partners/support people are welcome too!
Light refreshments provided.
$49/couple

The first 24 hours with your baby can feel like a blur — and breastfeeding may look very different than you expected. 🤍

Your baby may be sleepy. Feedings may be short or inconsistent. You may wonder if those tiny drops of colostrum are really enough.

For most healthy, term newborns, there’s a wide range of normal during that first day.

You don’t have to have breastfeeding “figured out” on day one.

Does your fl**ge fit?

A fl**ge that’s too small or too large can affect comfort and milk removal, but many parents are never shown how to check their fit.

Get my ‘Choosing Your Fl**ge Size’ bundle from Etsy to ensure you have a properly fitting fl**ge and optional milk removal.

Did you know that crying is actually a late hunger cue?

Most babies show several subtle signs they’re ready to eat before they ever cry. Learning these early feeding cues can help make feeds calmer, improve latch, and reduce frustration for both you and your baby.
Remember: Every baby is different. If you’re concerned about feeding, weight gain, or milk transfer, reach out to an IBCLC for personalized support.

If you know me, you know I don’t know how to sit still for very long 😅

After years as a Mother-Baby Nurse, becoming an IBCLC, and now experiencing motherhood myself, I’ve spent countless hours helping families navigate breastfeeding, newborn life, and those overwhelming early postpartum days.

Somewhere along the way, I decided to start creating handouts and resources to answer the questions I hear over and over again:

“Is my baby getting enough milk?”
“Is this normal?”
“Why didn’t anyone tell me about this?”

I’m excited to officially introduce The Well | Lactation, a collection of evidence-based breastfeeding, newborn, and postpartum resources designed to make life a little easier for new parents.

If you know an expecting parent, a new mom, or someone in the thick of the newborn stage, I’d love if you’d share the page or send them my way.

Thanks for cheering on my latest adventure. Apparently creating new projects is my version of a hobby 🤍
