FedExFamilyHouse A home away from home for out of town Le Bonheur Children's Hospital patient families. Register for the FedExFamilyHouse 5K today!

https://fedexfamilyhouse5k.raceroster.com FedExFamilyHouse's mission is to be a haven of hope, healing and rest for out-of-town families who come to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for treatment. Designed with families in mind and using “best practice” examples from sister institutions across the country, the facility offers a home-like setting with an open floor plan, gathering places for family groups, teens and children as well as secluded areas for quiet reflection. FedExFamilyHouse is LEED Gold certified and is one of the country's first sustainable, green pediatric residence facilities. LEED is the country’s benchmark for green building design and construction. Children and their families come from all over the U.S. and the world to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for expert treatment. Each year, more than 2,500 families travel farther than 150 miles for Le Bonheur’s services. Some come from thousands of miles away seeking very specialized care. Most of these families find themselves without the support systems they depend on at home. Some are lucky enough to have extended family or friends join them. All of them want to stay as close as possible to their child. FedExFamilyHouse is a comfortable retreat from life in the hospital. FedExFamilyHouse is a landmark that exemplifies corporate citizenship, a genuine sense of hospitality and heartfelt concern for Le Bonheur patients and families.

We are so grateful to the Andrew's family and their community for coming together through MB’s Mission to collect these incredible items for FedExFamilyHouse in memory of their daughter, Mattie-Bea.

Her family knows firsthand the importance of having a community of support during an uncertain and difficult time.

Today, that love is being passed on to other families. These generous donations will help provide families staying at FedExFamilyHouse with food and essentials while their children receive care at Le Bonheur.

To the Andrews family, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and everyone who gave in Maddie's honor — thank you for helping her legacy of love continue to touch the lives of others. We are honored to be part of the mission you have created in her memory. 💗

It's starting to feel like fall at FedexFamilyHouse 🍂💛

The weather is getting cooler, the fall decor is up and yesterday was filled with good food, warm smiles and even warmer hearts.

A big thank you to for her lovely floral arrangements and the FedEx Aircraft Engineering Support team for serving dinner to our families last night. We are so grateful for you all.
