Defeating Dysautonomia

Defeating Dysautonomia We're a non-profit with a mission to educate patients, professionals and the community. Welcome to the Hope for Team Tara page. This began the hospital stays.

I was encouraged to set up this community page to reach out and touch my friends, family, church and community with my story. In the Fall of 2013, I began my journey. Over the past couple of years, I had steadily lost weight without any effort. Most women (and men) would say (great), you look so good (skinny). Nice to say thank you, even if you don't feel it.... As this became more of a concern, I

sought another opinion. My boyfriend agreed that he had concern, but then told me how beautiful I was. With this deep concern and other symptoms starting, I began to seek medical advice. Test after test after test.... ruling out one thing and then ten. The symptoms continued, and in January I was rushed to the ER by ambulance from school. I am a Special Ed school teacher and wasn't happy that the students were a part of this now. There have been three hospital stays and a half dozen or so ER visits. There has not been a diagnosis and on Thursday, the ER visit did not result in a change in symptoms. The next day was my next doctor appointment. With all of the results, reports and data in hand, he felt that I had surpassed what Memphis could do for me. On Friday, April 11, my doctor offered the advice to send me to the Mayo Clinic or another reputable clinic. We agreed on researching the clinics with my insurance company for an in network coverage. Out of five clinics, the three Mayo Clinics were the only ones covered. I looked at my friend and driver that day in awe. She said , "Well, there's your decision." Yes, God has made the decision so I didn't have to. This is the introduction. I will add my God stories and continued updates on my health. Please be patient with my slow computer and the time it takes to get through some days. Thank you for your support, time and reading my story...
