August's Member of the month: Gale Davis

Never stop moving! Gale Davis radiates positivity wherever she goes. When she joined us in January 2025, she was determined to transform her life—and she truly made it happen.

Why did you pick EMAC?
I first chose the East Memphis Athletic Club for its location, but I stayed for the people. My fitness community is filled with supportive coaches and friends who inspire me to push past my limits.

What is your favorite workout?
“Grounded” is hands down my favorite workout. The camaraderie in the class lifts my spirits, and the intensity makes those 30 minutes effective and rewarding.

What results have you gotten?
That's a great question. For the first few months, I felt frustrated because I didn't see any changes. By month four, I realized something was off and finally could listen to my body. I discovered I had medical issues that needed care. I am so grateful that Coach Darada never gave up on me. She stood by me, helped me build healthy habits, and created a space where I could connect and release stress. Now, I work out four to five times a week. I have pushed 150 pounds on a sled and feel incredible 🔥💪. The scale is finally starting to move, and my lean muscle is on the rise!

Why is working out important to you?
Staying active gives me the energy I need to power through my day and feel my best.
