Today we hosted the Greater Memphis Chamber team at Alliance for their staff strategic retreat. 💙

Our CEO Laurie Powell and Mark Billingsley, Executive Director of The Alliance Foundation, shared the story of Alliance Healthcare Services and the work we do every day to build wellness across Shelby County, one person and one family at a time.

We are grateful for the Greater Memphis Chamber and the way their team invests in the people, the businesses, and the future of our city. A healthy community and a thriving local economy go hand in hand, and partners like the Chamber help make both possible.

A special thank you to Quintin Robinson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Operations at the Greater Memphis Chamber and a valued member of the Alliance board, for helping bring our two teams together. 100 backpacks, packed with purpose! 🎒

Our team filled 100 drawstring bags with hygiene essentials, mental health resources, and information about Alliance services for our friends at West Cancer Foundation. The bags were part of their Men's Community Health Fair at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Bartlett, an event focused on prostate screenings, mental health, and overall wellness.

Mental health is health. We're grateful to partner with organizations like West Cancer Foundation to make sure men in our community have the tools and support to care for both.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. 💚

Posttraumatic stress disorder can affect anyone who has lived through something frightening or overwhelming. It is not a sign of weakness, and it does not only affect veterans.

The signs can be quiet: unwanted memories or nightmares, avoiding reminders of what happened, feeling on edge or easily startled, trouble sleeping, or feeling numb and disconnected.

"I Want to Be a Therapist" - Memphis Teens in the MPLOY Program

This summer, five Memphis students are getting a real head start on their futures at Alliance Healthcare Services through the City of Memphis MPLOY Youth Summer Experience program.

From a rising ninth grader who dreams of becoming a therapist to a White Station sophomore drawn to children's mental health, these students are building professional skills, exploring careers in behavioral health, and bringing a fresh perspective to the work we do every day.

On June 1, the Children & Youth Crisis Wellness Center opened to the community. The facility, run by Alliance Healthcare Services, is the first of its kind in West Tennessee.

It's official: the Children & Youth Crisis Wellness Center is now open to families across Memphis.

If your child, ages 4 to 17, is going through a mental health crisis, there is now a place built just for them. Care is available 24/7. You can be referred by a hospital, school, or first responder, or you can simply walk in. No child is turned away because of insurance or ability to pay.

Today we celebrate the opening of the Children & Youth Crisis Wellness Center, West Tennessee’s first 24/7 crisis stabilization center built just for children and youth ages 4 to 17.
Until now, families facing a child’s mental health crisis often had few places close to home to turn. That changes today.

At 602 Malcomb Street, kids will find a safe, welcoming space and trauma-informed care designed around their ages, their needs, and their families.
