Southern VIP is rebranding as Southern Vascular and Foot Rescue. Our new name reflects our focus on the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral artery disease in the Southern states of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Foot Rescue refers to our minimally invasive procedures that can revascularize poor circulation in the arteries of the lower leg, including the small vessels of the foot, reducing the risk of future amputations. (That's the rescue part.)

Southern Vascular and Foot Rescue offers all the services and team members you have grown to love at Southern VIP, including interventional radiologist Dr. Thomas Hodgkiss and Nurse Practitioners John Scallions, Deanna Beasley, and Casey White.

OUR TEAM IS GROWING!!!

Overview: The Registered Nurse provides medical office nursing duties in an outpatient pain management office.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments.
Assist physicians in preparing for examinations and physicals. Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments as needed for patients.
Assisting and scrubbing with elective procedures
Administering IV sedation for procedures under physician supervision
Recovering a patient post-procedure and monitoring vital signs

Qualifications:

A Degree from an accredited Nursing Program is required.
Must possess and maintain a current license in Arkansas as a Registered Nurse/LPN
Maintains current CPR certification.
Applicant must have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated high level of clinical excellence.

Job Expectations:

For this position, we are looking for a registered nurse or LPN who is willing to work 10 hour days Tuesday through Friday at our Blytheville location with an option to also float to our Memphis locations. Mileage reimbursement will be given for travel.

Our Union City office has new hours! We are now open Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5:30pm and closed on Fridays.

Our Memphis office is still open Tues-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm.

The Medical Assistant provides medical office clinical assistance in an outpatient pain management office.

Job Responsibilities:
Assists MD and NP in busy clinic to ensure optimum patient to provider flow.
Reviews and prepares medical record to ensure completeness prior to patient examination.
Assists with initiation of patient history and physical assessment. Obtain and record patient intake including, but not limited to, vital signs and weight.
Assists NPs and physicians with physical exams and simple surgical/therapeutic procedures
Prepares and administers intramuscular injections as directed by MD or NP.
Perform clerical work including answering phones, communicating with patients and pharmacies, obtaining patient records from outside facilities, and referring patients for imaging or other specialists.

Minimum Education and/or Training:
High school diploma/GED
Completion of a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
If not certified, must obtain certification within 90 days of employment
BLS certification

Minimum Experience:
Pain experience preferred
2 years of related work experience preferred

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic computer function and operations
Knowledge of basic electronic medical record (EMR), Athena preferred
Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Job Expectations:
For this position, we are looking for a medical assistant who is willing to work 10 hour days Tuesday through Friday at our Union City location.
