Living with lupus means learning that your social battery has limits—and that's okay. 💜

Sometimes you genuinely want to go out, spend time with family, attend church, support your friends, or enjoy a good event… but your body has other plans. 😩

Lupus fatigue isn't always visible, and needing to rest doesn't mean you're being antisocial, unreliable, or “flaky.” Sometimes protecting your energy is one of the most important ways you can take care of yourself.

So here are 8 things every lupus patient should know about their social battery. 💜
Swipe through, save this post, and share it with someone who may need the reminder.

And to our fellow lupus warriors: you don't have to feel guilty for choosing rest. Your body gets a vote, too.

💜 Rest is not selfish. Boundaries are not rejection. And protecting your peace is not something you need to apologize for.

💜 Remember: Mental health symptoms are just as real as physical symptoms. If you or someone you know with lupus is experiencing persistent depression, anxiety, or thoughts of self-harm, seek help from a healthcare provider or mental health professional. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
