As president, CEO, and esthetic director, Mona Sappenfield brings nearly three decades of experience and expertise to Mona Esthetics in Memphis, Tenn. Mona Esthetics, certified by the prestigious Comite International D’Esthetique Et Cosmetologie (CIDESCO), offers clients the most effective global treatments and products available. Mona Esthetics stays ahead of the industry by creating a unique “soft touch” and “high tech” welcoming environment where clients receive the highest quality care by an impeccably trained staff. Sappenfield is among those impeccably trained. As a licensed and certified aesthetician, CIDESCO Diplomate, and NCEA Certified, accumulating over 3,650 hours of CERTIFICATION and TRAINING is well respected as an international Master Esthetician. Sappenfield, since 2002, was the first in the Southeast to use the CoolGlide, a hair removal and skin rejuvenation laser for all skin types. She is also trained in laser safety by the Laser Institute of America. Due to her proficiency in the field and at the request of laser companies, Ms. Sappenfield trains aestheticians, dermatologist and plastic surgeons to use lasers. Sappenfield uses her years of experience to forecast the latest spa treatments and aesthetic trends such as Uplifting Facial Treatment and Stemulation Luxury. She spends her time seeing clientele at Mona Esthetics locations in Memphis, TN, and on trips to New York she practices with an elite group of supporting beauty editors, bloggers and long time friends June Jacobs, Rochelle Silpe, Ted Gibson and Jason Backe. Her knowledge of the industry and advocacy for modernizing esthetician training and safety standards led to Ms. Sappenfield being the first and only esthetician, since 2014, appointed to the TN State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners. She is excited about the opportunities to be a part of the modern rule making progress and new laws in TN to promote consumer safety and the evolution of a modern esthetics career.
