💗 Booking Still Paused (for now!) 💗

Hey babes- just a quick update to keep everyone in the loop!
Booking is still currently paused at this time with the exception of custom jewelry orders, which I’m still happy to ship directly from my trusted manufacturers straight to your door ✨📦

As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with ongoing health concerns, and I’ll be spending the next few weeks on a heart monitor under the care of the Cleveland Clinic. Between that and relocating my studio space, I’ll be using this time to focus on my health, healing, and handling the legal requirements to properly reopen in my new space.

That said- all deposits are still 100% safe and valid for rescheduling, and I promise: I’ll be taking care of everyone who’s waited with love and gratitude 💗

Expect thank you bundles, exclusive discounts, freebies, and some cute surprise gift baskets as my way of showing appreciation for your patience. You’ve all held me down and I’m so excited to return that same energy as I get back on my feet.

Big Update: I’m Relocating to Cleveland 💗

After a deeply challenging year- including ongoing harassment, aggravated stalking, fraud, theft, and repeated boundary violations- I’ve made the decision to officially relocate my business to the Cleveland area.

This move has been a long time coming. Many of you know I had already planned to transition next March, when my sublease at BeautyBox Studios was set to end. However, due to a series of unfortunate events and extenuating circumstances, I’ve chosen to accelerate that timeline in order to protect my peace, my family, and the integrity of my work.

Working in that space has been an overwhelmingly negative experience that does not reflect my business values or the ethics I hold close to my heart. From mismanagement to unethical treatment, the leadership at BBS consistently demonstrated behavior I refuse to be aligned with.

This includes- but is not limited to; unlawful handling of subleases, a lack of professionalism, public defamation (sending shaming texts to a group chat of the tenants and my peers as just one example), and a complete disregard for tenant rights or human decency. As someone who runs their business with honesty, consent, transparency, and integrity, I cannot and will not remain tied to a space or structure that undermines those principles. “Business” should never include high-school level ‘mean girl’ behavior. And this is a poor representation of not only myself but the industry I serve.

That said- I’m thrilled to say that brighter things are ahead. I’ll be reopening in a more aligned space soon, closer to my core client base, and surrounded by the kind of community energy I want to reflect and actually want to build with. 💗🌹

(Especially When You’re Young, Femme, or a POC)

Running your own studio isn’t just hard work — it’s often navigating constant disrespect from people who think your boundaries don’t apply to them. Here’s the reality of some of what we really experience behind the scenes;

📲 The 24/7 Expectation Trap
• Clients text at all hours, including late at night or early morning
• They expect instant replies, no matter the day or time
• Respect for business hours is often nonexistent

🚫 When Boundaries Get Labeled ‘Rude’
• Enforcing your schedule is seen as “unprofessional”
• Saying “no” or setting limits triggers client tantrums
• You’re not allowed to be tired, firm, or unavailable

📅 The “My Time Matters More” Mentality
• Clients try to push appointments around your schedule
• They get upset when they can’t control how your business runs
• Rescheduling becomes a battle — even when they were told policies clearly

💖 Being Kind Gets Weaponized
• Offering upgrades or flexibility often leads to entitlement
• Clients forget kindness was a favor — not a guarantee
• Giving a little opens the door to demanding a lot
