One year ago today an unruptured aneurysm was found in my brain. I am eternally grateful that within a month and a half of finding the aneurysm a stent was placed by an incredible neurologist and neurology team at Froedtert. Sharing this is terrifying because of my fear of letting others into my mind and heart but this journey has taught me to walk through the things I’m afraid of. This experience woke me up and was the catalyst I needed to walk the path away from the places where I escaped to and kept myself trapped. Through an immense amount of self love, healing, and hard fu***ng work I have learned how to wake each morning seeking myself and have a deep connection with my mind and body. Everyday is a new day and no day is like the one before but I can say with certainty that I know my way. I know the path I need to take each day in order to be the one for myself so that I can be the one for my family, friends, and people I do not even know yet. Over the last 6 months I completed course work through and obtained my 200-hour CYT and an SEL facilitator certification. Through my coursework, healing journey, and experience in education over the past 20 years I decided to create Glysa because of the realization of what I always felt was missing in education but never truly understood what it was until now. Children are the heart of this world and deserve to be taught how to connect to themselves. Glysa is my wellness business bringing mindbody connection to families and schools because connecting and understanding our minds and bodies should be the most important learning we do daily as human beings. Glysa’s mission is to create meaningful and unique experiences for mindbody connection for teachers, children, and families.
I hope you follow my journey, ask questions, connect with me in a class or maybe share your story so we can all work together. ✌🏻❤️
