One of the things that makes music therapy distinct is the integration of two areas of specialized training: clinical practice and music 👩🏻‍🎓

This distinction matters when we collaborate with counselors, social workers, educators, healthcare providers, and other professionals. Music therapy can complement the work of other disciplines while offering a specialized therapeutic approach grounded in both clinical knowledge and musical expertise 📚🎹

So yes, we know how to play music…but we also know why, when, how, and for whom to use it therapeutically 🎶
