We were eager to host an ice-cream social event at Halo Pub, where local seniors dug their spoons into sweet treats and learned all about our many offerings at Avalon! From delicious scoops to great conversation, it was the perfect way to cool off and enjoy time together.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Raul Gonzales to Avalon Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center as our new Subacute Rehabilitation Medical Director and the newest member of our team of Physician Leaders Under One Roof.

Dr. Gonzales will lead our subacute rehabilitation program that combines expert medical oversight with personalized rehabilitation. At Avalon, each care plan is shaped around the patient’s medical needs, physical abilities, and personal priorities, helping patients move forward toward home, healing, and life on their terms.

Bringing seven years of experience, Dr. Gonzales is board-certified in Family Practice. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and completed his residency at Rutgers Health-RWJ Saint Barnabas Somerset. He is affiliated with RWJ University Hospital Hamilton and RWJ University Hospital Somerset and currently serves as Chair of Family Practice at RWJ University Hospital Hamilton.
