When everything feels like too much, you don’t have to figure everything out right this second. Start smaller. Unclench your jaw. Step outside for a minute. Put down one of the 17 things you’re trying to do at once. Drink some water without also answering an email. The goal isn’t to magically make the overwhelm disappear. It’s to give yourself a little room to deal with what’s in front of you. Pick one. That’s plenty for now.

Save this for an overwhelming day and visit elliementalhealth.com for more support.

A day off doesn’t need a to-do list. You don’t have to clean the whole house, catch up on every errand, answer those emails, and somehow become a new person by Tuesday. Rest can look like sleeping in. Sitting outside. Watching something you’ve already seen five times. Doing absolutely nothing useful for a while. If you have time to slow down this Labor Day, you’re allowed to actually use it that way. Rest doesn’t need to be earned first.

Take the rest if you can.

Happy September from Ellie Mental Health Meridian! 💚

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and we’re taking time to highlight the importance of connection, support, and reminding those around us that they are never alone. Even small moments of kindness and encouragement can make a meaningful difference.

Throughout the month, our clinic is sharing uplifting messages to help our clients feel supported and cared for by the Ellie family. We also have mental health stickers available for clients to take home as a little reminder that support is always within reach.

Together, we can help create a community where it’s okay to ask for help and no one has to struggle alone.

Talking about su***de can feel uncomfortable. That doesn’t mean we should avoid it. Knowing the warning signs, checking in when something feels off, and taking someone seriously can matter. You don’t need the perfect words to start a conversation. If you or someone you know needs immediate crisis support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline 24/7. For ongoing mental health support, Ellie is here to help you find a therapist who fits.

Progress can be easy to miss when you’re waiting for the big breakthrough. But maybe you handled something a little differently this time. You said no instead of automatically saying yes. You noticed what you needed. You asked for support before you hit your limit. It might not feel huge. It still matters. You don’t have to change everything at once to be moving forward.

Take the next step. Visit elliementalhealth.com for more.

A lot of people want support long before they actually receive it. Not because they do not care about their mental health, but because finding care can feel confusing, expensive, time-consuming, or emotionally exhausting. The good news is more adults are accessing mental health treatment than before. That progress matters. But there is still work to do in making care feel easier to start and easier to stick with. Sometimes reducing one barrier can help someone finally take the first step.

College move-in day isn't just about boxes and dorm rooms. It's a transition-for students, parents, siblings, and families. You might feel excited for what's next while also grieving what's changing. That's normal. Big life transitions ask a lot from us emotionally, even when they're positive. If this season feels heavier than expected, you're not alone. Sometimes the biggest adjustment isn't unpacking your things-it's adjusting to a new version of everyday life.

Emotional regulation is one of those phrases we hear a lot, but it doesn't mean staying calm all the time or never having big feelings. It means noticing what's happening inside you, making space for those emotions, and having more choice in how you respond. Some days that might mean taking a break before replying to a text. Other days it might mean recognizing you're overwhelmed and asking for help. It's a skill, not a personality trait. And like any skill, it can grow with practice and support.
