It has taken me a hot minute to figure out how to read God’s word for ME.
The first thing I had to learn was how I do my bible time might not look like how others do theirs.
The second was that in order for me to understand the verse better or what I was supposed to get from the verse, I would have to look up the definition of some words...even words I knew.
So in MY bible you’ll find a lot of underlined words with the definition attached.
Today’s lesson...do whatcha gotta do to get closer to God’s word.

THAT’S YOU!

When God finished creating you, he was done. You needed no improvements. You needed no revision. You were uniquely made on purpose, for a purpose. A purpose that only you can fulfill.

There is no mistake in your creation.

Aren’t there days where you cannot do one more thing?
Can’t take another step
Can’t wash another dish
Can’t write another word
Can’t run another mile
Can’t read another sentence
Can’t fold another piece of clothing
Can’t complete another rep
You just can’t rally.

I am there more often then not. It’s a bummer. Especially when we want to keep going, but lack the motivation.

But then, there’s God, and his power.
The power that parted waters, healed the sick, fed the hungry and raised the dead.

That power, it’s the power that can turn your “I can’t” to “I just did”.

This is our holy work, whether it’s serving our families by cooking food and cleaning messes, speaking life into both strangers and friends or running the race that is set out just for you.

You can keeping going by the power of God.

The next verse goes on to say...
“It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it. But we know it now.

But we know it now.
