Wildfire smoke can cause your CPAP filter to become dirty much faster than usual. Generally you should be changing your CPAP filter up to twice monthly, but you may need to check your filter more often and replace it if you notice:
• Gray or dark discoloration
• Visible dust or debris
• Reduced airflow
• An unusual odor coming from your machine
A clean filter helps protect your CPAP machine and helps ensure you're breathing the cleanest air possible while you sleep.
