Best approach is to expand teeth forward and sideways. Please see Dr Cris Simmons in Seattle to get this treatment. Much better than extracting ANY teeth. Hope this helps you.

👅 Do you have scalloped edges along the sides of your tongue?

These indentations can happen when the tongue presses against the teeth for long periods. To me, this can be a red flag for an airway issue, especially during sleep.

Consider getting a sleep study. If obstructive sleep apnea is diagnosed, ask your provider about appropriate treatment options, including an oral sleep appliance.

I learned about the tongue/airway connection from a dental lecture with Dr. Soroush Zaghi, a Los Angeles sleep and airway surgeon.

Pictures of dental cavities that you could possibly see in your mouth, on an x-ray, or detect with a Diagnodent machine.

A dentist will diagnose decay physically if it is soft or sticky when touched with an instrument.

They can also detect it with advanced technology, such as a Diagnodent machine, to determine how dense the area is.

Traditionally, it may be visually noticed on an x-ray, where it appears dark versus white.
