Persistent tension in the neck and shoulders can impact more than you think.

It may contribute to:

Headaches and migraines
Reduced range of motion and stiffness
Poor posture
Jaw tension and teeth grinding
Fatigue and low energy
Difficulty concentrating

When muscles remain tight for long periods, everyday activities can become more challenging and draining.

A session of Reflexology may allow you to deeply relax, help reduce stress, and ease the tension in your shoulders and neck.

This research is building scientific evidence that reflexology creates specific, measurable responses in the brain — and may play a meaningful role in stroke rehabilitation.

Congratulations to Dr. Posse, Kunz & Kunz Reflexology Kevin Kunz & Barbara Kunz, Arthur Schoen, and the entire research team on this groundbreaking work.

Self-care isn't selfish; it's physiological! 🌿
Look at the incredible difference regular massage therapy makes on the human body. On the left, smooth, well-circulated, and relaxed muscle tissue. On the right, accumulated tension and tight fibers.
Routine bodywork helps restore mobility, reduce chronic pain, and keep you moving freely. Make wellness a habit, not a reward!

From a reflexology perspective, the feet are the foundation of the body.

When we regularly wear high heels, the natural structure and pressure patterns of the feet change and over time, the body compensates.

High heels may contribute to:

Tightness in the arches and calves

Increased pressure on reflex areas
connected to the brain, sinus, neck, shoulders

Tension patterns that travel upward into the knees, hips, and spine.

Your feet were designed to spread, flex, support, and connect you to the earth.

Wearing heels occasionally is one thing but giving your feet recovery time matters too.

Barefoot time, supportive footwear, stretching, and reflexology sessions can all help bring the body back into balance.

Your feet carry your entire life every day they deserve care too.

How the body is represented on the feet is just amazing. Thank you Karen's Reflexology for sharing!

How the body is represented on the feet is just amazing. Thank you Karen's Reflexology for sharing!

A reflexology chart is a reflexologist’s map of the body.

Every part of the body is reflected on to whatever area of the body the reflexologist is working on.

Working on the feet is the most frequently used, but the hands, face and ears are also popular surfaces to work.

If you look at a foot reflexology chart it’s actually quite easy to visualize the body mapped out on the surface of your feet; with the toes being your head and neck, the balls of the feet being your chest and shoulder area, the arch of your feet reflecting your abdominal area, and the heels being your buttocks and pelvic area.

Left foot - left side of your body.
Right foot - right side.

There you go, that’s your first lesson in reflexology. 😆
