Florida Pain Institute is proud to share that Dr. Kamal Fetouh is now offering Stryker iVAS® Elite Kyphoplasty using a unipedicular technique, a minimally invasive approach that uses one small access point rather than a traditional bilateral approach.
Kyphoplasty is a procedure used to help treat painful vertebral compression fractures, which can occur when a bone in the spine weakens, collapses, or fractures. These fractures may cause severe back pain, limited mobility, difficulty standing or walking, and a major decrease in quality of life.
During kyphoplasty, a small balloon is used to create space inside the fractured vertebra. Bone cement is then placed to help stabilize the fracture and support the spine. For many patients, this procedure may help relieve pain, improve mobility, and help them return to daily activities with less discomfort.
If you or a loved one is suffering from ongoing back pain that may be related to a vertebral compression fracture, Florida Pain Institute is here to help.
