I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said my boys’ bedtime is 7:00… and heard, “Wow, you’re so lucky.”

And I get it—it looks like luck from the outside.

But the truth is… it’s not luck. It’s consistency.

We’ve created a bedtime routine that my boys actually look forward to. It’s our time to slow down, read books, connect, and peacefully close out the day together. And because of that, bedtime isn’t a fight—it’s something they expect and thrive in.

Do we have real life moments? Of course. Late baseball games, busy nights… it happens. On those nights, we adjust—but we still come home, reset, and stick to the routine (even if it’s shortened).

Because even being 15–20 minutes off? I see the difference.

Kids thrive on structure. And when their bodies know what to expect, everything gets easier—for them and for you.
