Sycamore And Sage Nutrition

Sycamore And Sage Nutrition Balance mood, boost energy, and alleviate anxiety and depression, all by changing what you eat.

Apparently your brain has been showing up to breakfast, lunch and dinner this whole time without even RSVPing. 😂

And once you start thinking about food through that lens, nutrition gets a LOT more interesting.

Not just “Is this healthy?”
More like “What can this food actually DO?”

Now that’s a conversation I can get behind.

Feeling a little called out? 😂

Most of us don’t need another list of things we “should” be doing.

Knowing what supports you is one thing. Figuring out how to actually do it when you’re busy, tired, overwhelmed, or staring into the fridge for the third time is another. 😉

That’s where I come in.

Follow along for mental health nutrition that works in real life — no perfection required.

I’ve already caught myself thinking about “getting back to normal” after vacation.

But then I realized...

I haven’t worked out — but I’ve walked for miles.

I haven’t had my usual structured quiet time — but I’ve been quiet in nature.

I haven’t networked — but I’ve built community.

And yes, I’ve eaten foods I don’t normally eat. And enjoyed them. 😊

Maybe I don’t need to “get back on track.”

Maybe I just need to come home, give jet lag its due, and gently find my rhythm again.

Wellness has to have room for living, too.

A little reminder from the Welsh mountains. 💛

Wellness isn’t always another thing we need to *do*.

Sometimes it’s good food. Sometimes it’s movement or connection.

And sometimes it’s riding an old steam train through the mountains and letting the world move a little more slowly for a while.

What does slowing down look like for you?

Not all “wellness” is worth the money. 👀

But these 5? I’ll happily spend more.

For me, it’s not about buying your way to better health. It’s about being intentional about where you invest in it.

What makes YOUR list — and what’s completely overrated? 😂

What if we've been asking the wrong question about healthy eating?

Most of us ask:

"Did I eat enough protein?"

"How many calories?"

"How many carbs?"

Those questions have their place.

But what if there was another question worth asking first?

One that's so simple we've almost forgotten it.

I wrote about it in this week's blog—and it might change the way you look at your dinner plate.

Sometimes color isn't just something we see.

Sometimes it's something we feel.

If life has started feeling a little grey...

Maybe your body isn't asking for more willpower.

Maybe it's asking to be nourished. 💜

This National Wellness Month, perhaps wellness isn't about doing more.

Perhaps it's about listening more closely to what your body has been trying to tell you.

Who says hydration has to be boring? 💧🍓

If plain water isn't your favorite, you're not alone.

One of the easiest ways to build healthy habits is to make them enjoyable. This simple mocktail combines black tea, berries, fresh mint, and sparkling water for a refreshing summer drink that's as beautiful as it is delicious.

Healthy habits don't have to be perfect.
They just have to work for you.

💙 What's your favorite way to make hydration more enjoyable?

What a privilege to spend yesterday morning with so many dedicated therapists discussing a topic I'm deeply passionate about: the role nutrition can play in mental health.

We explored how blood sugar dysregulation, gut health, food sensitivities, and nutrient deficiencies can sometimes mimic or magnify symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health conditions.

Every therapist in that room is already doing meaningful work. My hope was simply to offer one more lens through which to view healing and one more opportunity for collaboration.

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and continues investing in the people you serve. And a special thank you to Laura and Majo for the invitation and for creating such a welcoming environment. It was a privilege to spend the morning with you all.

Because when we care for the whole person, everyone benefits. 💜

Brain fog.

Cranky.

Tired.

Drained.

We often assume we need a complicated solution.

Sometimes the answer is much simpler.

Hydration affects energy, mood, concentration, and how we feel throughout the day.

Before you overcomplicate it...

Start with water. 💧
