As a recipe staple at grocery stores, there’s a good reason honey is typically shelved in the baking aisle. But a few years ago, honey sellers began noticing honey was increasingly being used by athletes, gym rats, and hikers as a one-ingredient energy gel.

To ride the trend and fuel it, most brands have begun to redesign their packaging into single-serve mini doses, which were originally intended for honey lovers to be able to drizzle on food and beverages on the go. The new packages were, as one vendor put it ... “created with the modern athlete in mind because they are portion-controlled and easy to open and squeeze.”

Greetings subscribers! Come see us at the World's Largest Flea Market this weekend. Yes, we will have your favorite local honey available, but you will also enjoy the experience of seeing something you didn't know you needed until you came across it! There are 100s of vendors at this event every month. This weekend may be a little damp Thursday and Friday, but Saturday and Sunday are expected to be dry with mild temps. Hope to see you there!!

Thank you to the staff at Hotworx Garland - Northwest Crossing for allowing us to offer the healthy alternative of local honey to their members at their Valentines Day Event last week! We had an awesome time visiting with the Owners and staff, met the Members and made new friends and acquaintances.

Their concept of working out in a sauna is excellent due to the warming of muscles during the workout, and the release of toxins through sweat while doing it. I recommend them highly if you are wanting to drop some unwanted weight, as well as getting that all important conditioning and strength for everyday life.
