✨️Today's The Day✨️
Copeland Tower Living Book Club
Featuring HRH Jill Conner Browne and her 1st book: "The Sweet Potato Queens' Book of Love"

HRH Jill Conner Browne is a multiple award-winning author, speaker, and founder of The Sweet Potato Queens—a beloved brand and community dedicated to celebrating Southern food, family, humor, and resilience. With a joyful, human voice and an eye for storytelling, Browne has built a readership that spans cozy home kitchens and spirited public tables alike. Her work blends warmth with craft: she draws on the texture of everyday life—especially the traditions and rituals surrounding food—to create stories that feel both comforting and empowering.

As a founder, Browne helped cultivate The Sweet Potato Queens into a cultural touchstone known for its distinctive blend of wit, heart, and cultural pride. Through her books and related creative projects, she has become especially recognized for her knack for making regional cuisine accessible and feel-good while still honoring its deeper roots. Her writing invites readers not just to cook or listen, but to belong—to laugh, to reminisce, and to see themselves reflected in the triumphs and small joys of ordinary days.

Beyond the page, Browne’s influence reaches readers through her public presence and collaborations, where she continues to advocate for creativity, connection, and community-building. Whether she’s sharing recipes, anecdotes, or character-driven narratives, HRH Jill Conner Browne brings the same mission to everything she creates: to turn everyday moments—especially those centered on food—into stories worth savoring.

✨️VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT✨️

I just want to pause and say "Thank You" to the entire team at WVUE FOX 8 for inviting me to be part of the morning of Friday, 07/31/2026's interview—especially for the kindness, professionalism, and warmth the Team showed from start to finish. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share my story and my work on their platform.

A special "Thank You" to Fox 8's NOLA Now Host, Shelby Latino for interviewing me and for making the conversation feel both meaningful and comfortable. We talked about why I wrote my book. And, we also explored some of the 10 Tenets of Optimal Health, with a focus on how hormonal imbalances can quietly contribute to major health risks, including heart disease (heart attack, stroke, and even dementia), especially in Perimenopausal Women who may not realize they’re at increased risk.

I also want to extend my appreciation to Former Chief Meteorologist, Mr. Bob Breck. Thank you for sharing my book with the News Producer, Caitlin Dwyer—that gesture helped open the door to this incredible opportunity, and I don’t take that lightly.

✨️Tribal Tuesday✨️

Meet a new member of my Tribe, Mrs. Brandi White, Phlebotomist and Owner of Vein Express Mobile Phlebotomy...👇🏾

Dear Brandi,

I just wanted to express how deeply grateful I am for the professional, kind, and compassionate service you provided on Saturday for my Momma, Mrs. Barbara Chocolate Barbara Pendleton. Your care and skill truly made a difference—our family felt supported and at ease throughout the entire experience.

We could not have been in a position to get the bloodwork accomplished if it hadn’t been for your expertise and your excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Jack Ward and I sincerely look forward to continuing our collaboration with you and your company, .

Thank you again for everything you do!!!

With appreciation,
Dr. Karen

✨️Self-Care Saturday✨️

An Orangetheory Fitness class 💪🏾🏃🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️🚴🏾‍♀️ is a form of self-care because it’s not just a workout—it’s a commitment to showing up for *you*. When you step into the studio, you’re choosing to prioritize your body and your mind, even on days when motivation is low.

It’s also self-care in how it’s built: structured intervals keep you focused, coach support keeps you accountable, and the supportive community makes it less intimidating to try. Plus, the “all you can do” mindset helps you build confidence instead of perfectionism. By the time you leave, you’ve done something hard, released stress, and reminded yourself that you deserve energy, movement, and consistency.

Sometimes self-care isn’t being pampered—it’s making space to take care of yourself in the best way you know how.

✨️**Foodie Friday: GW Fins + Shrimp Week!**✨️

This week I’m celebrating one of my absolute favorites—**GW Fins**—where they pulled out all the stops for **Shrimp Week**. Every bite felt fresh, flavorful, and seriously worth savoring slowly.

**The first plate that had me in a total food trance:**
- **Coconut Crusted Gulf Shrimp** — coconut milk curry, seasonal vegetables, local long-grain rice, and Thai basil.
- Rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced—tender shrimp with that cozy curry depth and vibrant herb finish.

**Our guest went for something extra indulgent (and absolutely loved it):**
- **Pink Shrimp Carbonara pappardelle** — fresh peas, **swordfish bacon**, white wine clam sauce, shaved parmesan.
- Creamy, savory, and loaded with that “just one more bite” energy.

**And then Dr. Jack’s choice stole the spotlight too:**
- **Yellowedge Grouper** — wood grilled, sweet potato hash, chipotle butter, crispy plantains, and pineapple basil glaze.
- Smoky-grilled flavor meets sweet heat and fruity brightness—so unique and beautifully layered.

**Appetizers that set the tone:**
- **Sashimi Grade Firecracker Tuna Tacos** — ginger slaw, wasabi tobiko, avocado aioli
- **Gulf Shrimp Aguachile** — guacamole, watermelon salsa, shredded tortillas

**Dessert to end it perfectly:**
- **Banana Foster Funnel Cake** — brûléed banana, dark rum caramel, vanilla ice cream
- Warm, caramel-forward, crisp edges, and that decadent rum-sweet finish.

If you’re looking for a meal that’s part comfort, part culinary adventure, **GW Fins Shrimp Week** is the move. 🌊🍤💛

✨️Thankful Thursday✨️

I am both Thankful and Grateful to you, Mr. Joseph 'Joe' Miller for your kind and loving words. 💞

Thankfulness comes up 71 times in the New Testament, and most of those instances are this word, or related to this word. The definition: “To show oneself grateful, to be thankful, to give thanks.” It is used in a religious sense with or without reference to God.

The Oxford Dictionary defines the word grateful as “showing an appreciation of kindness.” This is where the difference lies; being thankful is a feeling, and being grateful is an action.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools in our arsenal because it helps remind us of the good things that are already in our lives.

AMEN 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
