ORACULAR ART HERSTORY
Today, October 13th, the Scorpio Moon calls us deeper. Through the raw intensity of being human, we encounter the places within us where radical transformation becomes possible.
Radical comes from radix — root. Here, we meet the truth beneath the surface… We touch the origin and reclaim the power to transform.
I feel her as a Priestess of the Goddess, standing in prayer and profound communion with the Great Mother. Her arms extend wide, her body adorned, her heart open to the immensity of life. Once, she held a sacred place in the spiritual and ceremonial life of her people — keeper of the Mysteries, guardian of wisdom, and devoted to the relationship between the human and the Divine. Though patriarchal rule suppressed, fragmented, and obscured many of these traditions, the Sacred Mysteries never vanished. They went underground, enduring through myth, symbol, the Earth, and the soul-memory carried across generations.
In my vision, she is both the receiver and the giver of compassion. Her outstretched arms invite us to receive the love, nourishment, and tenderness that sustain our own lives, allowing that same compassion to flow through us and into the world.
Through the CREATRIX process, the act of making becomes an embodied prayer. Earth becomes image. Image becomes relationship. Relationship becomes an invitation to remember the compassionate intelligence that lives within the human heart.
We will honor her ancient Iranian origins and the enduring artistic traditions of the Bronze Age, allowing her presence to expand our WOMB CONTINUUM exploration of the many lands and cultures through which humanity has expressed its relationship with the sacred feminine.
