Full Sleeve Blastover Tattoo

Just wrapped up this full sleeve blastover project and I am stoked on how it came together. Swipe left to check out all the different angles and details. The vast majority of this piece is fully settled and healed, except for the hand where we packed in some extra punch and hit a few areas for a quick retouch, and the skull tucked on the inner bicep which is still fresh.

SUMINAGASHI• BLASTOVER

The Process: Transforming an older piece you’ve grown out of is all about working with what’s already there. By using intentional contrast, heavy saturation, detailed dot work, and strategic flow, we gave this sleeve an entirely new rhythm without losing the history underneath.

This project utilized a custom blastover design integrated with heavy blackwork foundations and precision dot work to reclaim space and build a cohesive dark aesthetic.

Heavy Darkflow on a First-Timer 🖤⚡️

Gwen completely bypassed the “small first tattoo” rule and jumped straight into the deep end, kicking off this lower arm half sleeve as her very first piece. We laid down the groundwork for this heavy darkflow project live down in Tennessee at the Living Arts EXPO Knoxville Tattoo Convention .

Tackling a large-scale project right out of the gate takes serious mental commitment, and she sat like an absolute rock the whole way through. Huge respect for trusting the process from day one.
