CORN DURING PREGNANCY 🌽
MOST WOMEN THINK CORN IS JUST STARCH — BUT THAT’S NOT THE WHOLE STORY.
Corn may look basic, but it can still add useful nutrients to your pregnancy diet.
It gives you carbohydrates, which your body uses for energy — and during pregnancy, your body is working harder every single day.
Corn also contains fiber, which can support digestion and may help if constipation has been frustrating you lately.
It provides folate too, an important B vitamin that supports normal cell growth and your baby’s early development.
And here’s the part many people don’t expect: corn contains lutein and zeaxanthin, natural plant compounds that support healthy vision.
You also get small amounts of vitamin B6, magnesium, and potassium, which help support your muscles, nerves, and normal body function.
Boiled or roasted corn can be a simple and satisfying choice.
Just try not to turn it into a heavy meal loaded with butter, salt, and sugar.
Sometimes the foods that look the simplest can still have something useful to offer.
Save this and share it with a pregnant mom who thinks corn is “just starch.”
