Eating disorders are complex conditions that require specialized expertise. This esteemed designation indicates a licensed clinician (therapist, doctor, dietitian, nurse, or psychiatrist) who has completed high level training and exam assessment in the effective and collaborative treatment of eating disorders. A CEDS clinician is well versed in medical, nutritional, and therapeutic treatment considerations, adheres to a high level of professional ethics, and commits to ongoing expansion of their practice through education and involvement. 🤓🎓✏️📓

What is ?

Diet culture can be thought of as a belief system that associates food with morality and thinness with goodness. In essence, it worships thin bodies and oppresses those who don't match up with its supposed picture of “health” - disproportionately harming women, trans folks, people in larger bodies, people of color, and people with disabilities. There is this idea that diet culture only affects people who choose to diet, but that’s not true! You don't have to follow any sort of official diet to be caught up in the culture of dieting. Where does diet culture show up in your life?

As the client, YOU are always the one in the drivers seat. You get to decide how fast or slow we go, what route we take, and if we need to pull over for a break. I am simply sitting in the passenger seat with the map, guiding you along the way. It’s YOUR journey, but you don’t have to take the trip alone 💚
