Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

RIP our sweet Luna. No longer by our side but forever in our hearts. Definitely, the hardest part of owning a pet is deciding in their old age when it’s time to say goodbye. You have taught me so much. You have loved me unconditionally with no judgments 24/7 with everything you have. Everything that makes me happy and whole I owe to you. Thank you for loving me all these years. Rest well beautiful girl.

Do you get shoulder or neck pain? Struggle with pushups? Train the rear delts! These rear delt cable flys are one of my favorite shoulder moves. No low back stress like you sometimes get from the bent over flys and no neck or upper trap stress. Notice I brace with the other arm and use that arm to create more tension. Then just take the arm from that starting position back. Get a nice burn then strip some weight and hit some more. Enjoy.

As you chase your health and physique goals work towards improving your performance and quality of movement. With these lunges, I just want to bend from the hips and knees while not bending from the back. That disassociation is so valuable for ensuring the tension goes and stays in the right places. Try it next time you lunge. You can angle your torso how you wish but bend from the places you should and not from the places you shouldn’t.

Probably the most important thing I have learned in these last fifteen weeks is to focus on what I can control and what I’m able to do. Not dwell on what I can’t do or what is not available to me. Here I am demoing swings or skier swings for the zoom group with a giant bottle of floor cleaner. No fancy kettlebells or dumbbells? No problem, always finding a way and finding solutions. Need help finding a solution? DM for online personal training rates or if you would like to take one of our online group fitness classes. The next one is tonight at 6pm!

A tip to enhance your home workouts is to combine movements or put your body in a more challenging position when you do the exercise. For example, I can normally shoulder press a lot more weight but if I press as I drop down in this split squat that same weight becomes so much harder. Things like this can help overcome not having a lot of heavy weight at home. If you like moves like this check out our online zoom classes! Schedule is in the highlights!

PROTEIN & FATS! Great way to start your day. Nothing against keto, or low-fat, or paleo, or Atkins or vegan or any diet out there. Be aware anytime you add some sort of a restriction by following a specific diet, you’re at a slight disadvantage on reaching your health and physique goals. Rather than forcing yourself to follow a specific diet and limit the type of nutrients your body can receive, try just implementing different nutritional strategies. For example this low carb breakfast I have here. Eggs, veggies, and a little goat cheese. Is this going keto? No, but a low carb breakfast can still power charge your day, increase insulin sensitivity and metabolism. Those same benefits that most people do keto for without having to take your body to the extremes that is ketosis. Another great strategy is carb cycling. Carbs are not the enemy. Too much of anything can be bad and quality carb sources do have their place when it comes to building a better looking physique and having energy to get through your workouts. So some days you eat more carbs and some days you eat less carbs. So you’re not pigeonholed into eating in one specific way and limiting the variety of nutrients your hard working body should receive.
