Another incredible showing by our UM Frost Dermatology Wound Healing & Regenerative Medicine Research Program at last week’s Wound Healing Society meeting in Charlotte! 🔬✨
Our team truly brought the energy, innovation, and leadership:
🏆 Jelena Marjanovic presented her award-winning research in the Spotlight Session
🎖️ Ivan Jozic, PhD received the WHS Mid-Career Faculty Award
💡 Andrew Sawaya earned a WHS Research Grant
🌟 Christian D. Alcalde Pretel, MD, PhD, mentored by Dr. Jozic, received the 2026 WHS Travel Trainee Award
Our research was also represented through presentations by Marjana Tomic, PhD, Tammy Gonzalez Parraga, MD, PhD, and clinicians Dr. Jose Jaller and Dr. Scott Elman.
