Returning to the source. 🌋✨

There is a profound, intelligent healing power held within the Earth, waiting to remind us of our own true nature. Spending time at the hot springs of Rincón de la Vieja, painting our skin with raw, mineral-rich volcanic clay, felt like a deep, sacred homecoming.
In Ayurveda, skin care is never about harsh chemicals or forcing the body into submission. It is entirely non-invasive, honoring the skin (Tvach) as a living, breathing reflection of our internal landscape and the elements around us.

When we apply natural volcanic mud, we are working directly with the Earth (Prithvi) and Water (Jala) elements:

* Deep Detoxing: The potent minerals draw out deep-seated impurities without stripping the skin’s natural lipid barrier.
* Dosha Balancing: The cooling, grounding nature of the clay acts as a beautiful balm for soothing excess heat and inflammation (Pitta), while anchoring scattered energy (Vata).
* True Nourishment: It stimulates circulation, inviting fresh life force (Prana) right to the surface.

True radiance (Tejas) doesn’t come from a laboratory. It comes from trusting the simple, ancient intelligence of the soil, the water, and the thermal warmth of the earth. Nature always provides exactly what we need to heal, purify, and restore balance from the outside in. 🌿🧘🏽‍♀️

Have you ever experienced the grounding magic of a volcanic mud bath? Let me know below. 👇🏽

It’s interesting how popular, and ultimately beautiful, sunset pictures are. Add to that sunset yoga, and you’re golden (in my world).
I’ve been posting the same since I joined instagram over a decade ago. Maybe not the best for my algorithm and “visibility” or whatever, but still my favorite way to be on socials.

I saw a post recently encouraging us social media users (and especially millennials generation) to go back to how it used to be. In the crazy surge of AI, misinformation, literal businesses and millionaires being built on socials alone, quarrel and bullying, catfishing, doom strolling… we have the chance to switch our mentality and our interactions. Our digestion and usage of these tools. The post said we basically ruined it by taking it too seriously, and it does resonate with me. So here I am, going back (and going still) with my sunset yoga posts.

What about social media brings you happiness, inspiration, connection? Share your faves and let’s bring back what did work, what did inspire, what did make it worth it.

One of my go-to favorite meals, that is vegan and gluten free, usually a crowd pleaser (I make it for our retreats and it hits a variety of tastes) - yellow curry noodles.

The curry can be made with your favorite veggies, my rotation is broccoli, carrots, spring onion, can use anything from zucchini to cauliflower to mushrooms to edamame. Stir fried with tofu, freshly grated ginger, topped with yellow curry paste, pink Himalayan salt, can be enriched with other spices. This time I added more powered curry for added flavor but no spice (as the paste is pretty hot 🌶️ ) and red paprika. Full fat coconut milk is best, and the noodles will absorb it (you can potentially serve the noodles separately or do the curry over rice). A generous splash of lemon or lime, topped with sesame seeds and avocado.

Side of refreshing homemade strawberry basil lemonade. All comes together in under 25min!

Grateful for this amazing journey…
Remembering these moments with great fondness and even a tinge of sadness. It was such a special time and sweet uncertainty.

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom who is fondly called mama by so many and has given me an example of kindness and care.

Celebrating the feminine power of creativity today.

And a huge shoutout to yoga for helping me keep some smidge of sanity in this wild ride.

Vibes, sunsets and just living in the moment.
I have variations of that mantra on repeat when teaching yoga and meditation, but I’m still far from mastering the affirmation. Being here and now.

Unplugging for a while when things got intense so I can reflect and gain a new perspective.

🦋 There is a very specific type of magic that happens when a teacher becomes the student.

Today at our wellness fair, I sat on my mat and took a class led by one of our recent graduates. Because so many of our students come for immersions and then head back to their corners of the world, I usually only see them teach during their final exams.

But today? Today I got to just be there.
It’s a surreal feeling to hear your own cues, your own philosophy, echoing back at you—but with their unique soul, their niche, and their specific “flare” woven in. After 9+ years of leading trainings, I’ve seen a lot. I remember exactly how I felt after my first YTT, and seeing how far they’ve come makes me so incredibly proud.
Good job 👏 .mcmonagle

Yoga at Vizcaya Sunday market is always a treat, and one of my must activities in Miami. But the roaming peacocks 🦚 are a special treat and this time one of them was extra interested in our yoga mat… I did have another animal spotting during class but I’ll share that later..

✨⭐️ Spring break Miami style ✨⭐️
🐬🌺🏝️🙌💙

Highlights - yes, pickle kombucha! Daily pool and hot tub hangs, cause the weather is just perfect for both! Going to the dentist (dramatic but all ok in the end). New awesome dinosaur 🦖 helmet but super cute unicorn 🦄 roller skates for Satya, and now I think I need to get a pair too (do they make unicorn skates for adults?! I hope so tho I can probably fit a teen size too). Miami music week, not as good as Tiesto was last time, but Meduza and friends delivered. Lots of playground time. Just chilling and at the same time running around all the time! Lots of great vegan foods 😋
