The Ms Wheelchair Massachusetts Foundation is deeply saddened to share that former MWMA President Susan Houston, has passed away. Susan loved MWMA, served in many roles over the years and impacted countless lives. She will be missed.

Our thoughts are with Susan’s family and friends during this very difficult time.

The Ms Wheelchair Massachusetts Foundation sends its deepest condolences to the Ms. Wheelchair Washington-America organization, the Harada family, and all those who knew and loved Danielle.

Her kindness and talent will be missed!

RIP Danielle

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Danielle Harada, Ms. Wheelchair Washington-America 2019, has passed away.

Danielle made such a significant impact on all who knew her. She had a beautiful spirit. No matter what the circumstances were, Danielle was always able to use her story, talents, and experiences to lift others up and make the world a more loving and accepting place.

Danielle we will miss you dearly. Thank you for being you and sharing so much good with the world.

Are you a woman passionate about disability related issues and advocacy? The Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts Foundation is actively seeking contestants to be a part of our Leadership and Advocacy Competition on February 29, 2020. If you are a woman at least 21 years old, a U.S. Citizen, a Massachusetts resident for at least six months, and use a wheelchair for 100% of daily community mobility, you are eligible to apply! American Girl's 2020 Girl of the Year doll is Joss Kendrick! In a first, this American Girl doll has hearing loss and wears a hearing aid.
