What’s the difference between single vision, bifocal, trifocal & progressive lenses? 👓
Not all lenses are designed the same! Here’s a quick breakdown:
🔹 Single Vision
One prescription throughout the entire lens—for distance, computer, or reading.
🔹 Bifocal
Two prescriptions in one lens: distance + near, with a visible line separating the two.
🔹 Trifocal
Three prescriptions: distance + intermediate + near, with two visible lines.
🔹 Progressive
Distance → intermediate → near without visible lines. The prescription gradually changes as you look down the lens. Because of this design, some peripheral blur or distortion is normal.
👀 Which one is right for you?
It depends on your prescription, visual needs, lifestyle, and comfort preferences.
