Get to know me. 🫖

I’m the classical Pilates teacher who truly understands riders and explains biomechanics in a way that finally makes sense.

Not trends.
Not tricks.
Not random exercises.

Just authentic Pilates that helps riders create better connection, coordination, and understanding in the saddle.

Because riders don’t need more tension or more “strength.” They need organized strength, stability, timing, and a body that works together as one connected system.

That’s what I teach. ✨

☕️ Spilling the Pilateas – Edition 19 is out now.

As summer schedules shift and life starts moving in a hundred different directions, this is your reminder that Pilates was never meant to live only inside the studio. It was designed to travel with you.

Horse shows. Vacations. Long weekends. Busy calendars.
Your practice doesn’t have to disappear just because life gets full.

One of the most powerful things about Pilates is that all you truly need is your body, a little space, and a few focused minutes. Even revisiting a handful of mat exercises can reconnect you to your powerhouse, posture, and coordination.

And the best part? I can still come with you.
Through YouTube practice-alongs, virtual sessions, or simple mat work you can do anywhere.

Consistency beats perfection every time. 🤍

Read the newest edition of Spilling the Pilateas and take your practice wherever summer takes you.

Your seat doesn’t become deeper by pushing down.
It becomes deeper when your body learns how to organize length, stability, and connection.

These 3 Side-Leg exercises are some of my favorite ways to help riders:
• lengthen the leg naturally
• stabilize the pelvis
• improve connection through the seat
• stop gripping and bracing

When riders finally understand this feeling, the conversation with the horse changes completely.

Tomorrow’s edition of Spilling the Pilateas breaks down WHY this works — plus I’m releasing a YouTube practice-along video so you can actually try it with me.

Save this reel and practice along tomorrow. 🫖

Your deep seat doesn’t come from pushing down into the saddle.

It comes from length, stability, and connection.

Most riders try to create a “deep seat” by gripping, tightening, or driving harder — but that usually makes the body shorter, stiffer, and easier to shift out of balance.

The Side-Leg Series helps organize the body so the leg can lengthen, the seat can deepen naturally, and the aids become clearer and more effective.

That’s why Pilates translates so well to riding.

What we want from our horses —
balance, connection, stability, suppleness —
Pilates teaches to our own bodies first.

Most riders think a “deep seat” means pushing down harder.

But true depth in the saddle comes from length, organization, and stability through the body.

This week’s Spilling the Pilateas preview is all about how the Side-Leg Series helps riders create a longer, more connected seat—so you stop getting shifted out of position and start communicating more clearly with your horse.

The result?
A seat that feels deeper without heaviness.
Clearer aids.
Better balance.
And a conversation with your horse that becomes a whole lot more fun.

Try practicing these exercises consistently for one week and see if you can feel the difference in your ride.

Can’t coordinate your aids in the saddle—even when you know what to do?

This is where riders get stuck—

Not because they’re weak…
but because the mind and body aren’t fully connected.

Coordination looks simple.
But when you actually do it?

That’s where timing breaks down.
That’s where you feel “off.”
That’s where control disappears.

And it shows up in the saddle as:

• aids not landing when you intend
• struggling with movements you’ve done before
• feeling disconnected, even when you’re trying harder

This is exactly what I break down in today’s newsletter.

Why coordination is a marker of your mind-body connection—
and how practicing it (on the mat or reformer)
translates directly to clearer, more precise riding.

✨ Read today’s “Spilling the Pilateas” to understand what’s really missing—and how to fix it.(Link in bio).

Having trouble coordinating your aids in the saddle?

Most riders think it’s a riding problem.

It’s not.

It’s a coordination problem.

Because riding isn’t just about strength—
it’s about how well your body can organize multiple actions at once.

That’s exactly what this exercise trains.

It looks simple.
It’s deliberate.
And yet—

This is where even strong, experienced clients get tripped up.

Why?

Because it exposes the truth:

• Are you actually connected?
• Can your body follow direction without tension?
• Are you present—or just going through the motions?

Coordination is a direct reflection of your mind-body connection.

If this breaks down here…
it’s going to show up in the saddle.

That’s why we train it on the mat, so it can show up in the saddle.

05/01/2026

Coordination isn’t about getting it right—
it’s about revealing what’s not connected.

This is one of the most deceptive exercises in Pilates.

It’s controlled.
It’s deliberate.
It looks easy.

But the moment you try it…

👉 timing breaks down
👉 the body disconnects
👉 the mind loses the sequence

Even strong, experienced clients get tripped up here.

Because Coordination isn’t testing strength—
it’s testing your mind-body connection.

Your ability to stay present.
Your ability to organize movement as a system.

This is where the real work begins.

And it’s exactly why Pilates translates so powerfully to riding—
because what you’re asking from your horse
requires this same level of coordination in your body.

Tomorrow’s newsletter breaks this down.
Don’t miss it.
