We're excited to welcome Richie Splitt as the new Chief Executive Officer of The Beacon.

Richie brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, including eight years as President and CEO of Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma. His career has centered on bringing healthcare organizations, universities and communities together to expand access and create lasting regional impact.

As CEO, Richie will help lead The Beacon's next chapter as we continue working with partners across the Permian Basin to build a healthier, stronger region.

Children and adolescents have unique behavioral health needs—and access to specialized care matters.

Texas Tech Physicians Psychiatry offers services ranging from psychotherapy and family therapy to ADHD evaluation, play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy for children, adolescents and their families.

Through its growing presence at the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is helping strengthen access to specialized behavioral healthcare for families across our region.

Cadaver Lab Skills Training | October 26–28

Hosted at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Anatomy Institute, the training will give participants an opportunity to practice critical pre-hospital skills and deepen their understanding of human anatomy.

Space is limited. EMS and fire personnel interested in attending should coordinate registration through their training staff, chief or supervisor.

The future of healthcare in the Permian Basin depends on collaboration.

At the State of Healthcare, presented by ExxonMobil, The Beacon CEO Russell Meyers joined leaders from Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Midland Memorial Hospital for a conversation about the healthcare needs and opportunities facing our region.

From behavioral health and pediatrics to expanding capacity and services, the discussion reinforced the importance of thinking beyond Midland and Odessa and working together to serve the entire Permian Basin.

That regional approach is central to The Beacon’s mission: building on the strong healthcare foundation already here to help create greater access and capacity for the future.

Meet Mark Berg, a member of The Beacon Board of Directors.

Mark brings extensive experience in energy, business strategy and regional collaboration. In addition to serving as founding Vice Chairman of the Permian Strategic Partnership, he serves on the Boards of Directors of ProPetro Holding Corp. and Oncor and as Chairman of Crystal Clearwater Resources.

His experience helping bring leaders together around the needs of the Permian Basin provides an important perspective as The Beacon continues moving forward.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Healthy Communities program is moving from data to measurable results.

In Crane, participating residents are using screenings, education and real-time health tools to better understand and manage conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.

Among participants engaged for more than three months, early results are showing improvements in blood sugar control and other health measures.

The Beacon Alliance is proud to support the partnerships helping TTUHSC expand this work across West Texas.
