One of my favorite things to hear after a lip flip is “I got so many compliments but nobody could figure out why.”

That’s exactly what a well-done lip flip is supposed to do.

If you’re not familiar, a lip flip is a small amount of neurotoxin injected just above the upper lip. It gently relaxes the muscle there, allowing the lip to roll slightly outward and show more of itself. No filler. No added volume. Just more of what’s already there.

It’s one of those treatments that makes people look like a more rested, refreshed version of themselves, and other's can’t quite put their finger on why.

Here’s when I typically recommend it:

🔹 Your upper lip disappears when you smile
🔹 You want more definition without added fullness
🔹 You’re filler-curious but not ready to commit
🔹 You already have filler but want to enhance the shape

One more thing: a lip flip takes about 2 weeks to fully settle, so patience is part of the process. But when it does? It’s one of those quiet little confidence boosters that my clients come back for again and again.

As a nurse injector, placement and dosage here are everything. A little too much and it can affect how you sip or speak temporarily. Done right, nobody knows but you. 😊

✅ Rushing you through a consult just to squeeze in another appointment

✅ Pushing a service simply because it's trending, or recommending something that doesn't actually align with YOUR goals.

✅ I won't look the other way when something doesn't feel right, and I will absolutely never create results that stop looking like you.

My job isn't to change you. It's to enhance what's already yours. Every consultation is a real conversation, every decision belongs to you, and every result should have you walking out feeling more like yourself, not less. That's the standard I hold myself to, because you deserve a provider who leads with integrity, not a sales quota.

Let's talk about something that comes up almost every single day with my lip filler clients.

A lot of people come in expecting a full syringe. And honestly? That’s not always what their lips actually need.

Here’s what I mean by “low and slow.”

Your lip tissue has a limit to how much product it can comfortably support at one time, and that limit is different for everyone. If you naturally have very thin lips or very little lip tissue to begin with, asking that tissue to absorb a full syringe right away is a lot. It increases the risk of complications, puts unnecessary stress on the tissue, and — this is the big one — it’s one of the main reasons filler migrates over time.

Migration is that blurred, “duck lip” look that nobody wants. And in many cases, it’s preventable.

So when I recommend starting with a half syringe, I’m not holding back on you. I’m protecting your results. We let those heal, see how your tissue responds, and then we build from there. The outcome is actually better, and it lasts longer.

This is one of those areas where having a nurse injector makes a real difference. Understanding tissue, anatomy, and how the body responds to product isn’t just helpful in this work...it’s essential.
