Moms! Let’s get the kiddos trained and certified!
Starting at age 8, your daughter or son, can participate in the SafeSitter program!!!
There are 2 options; with and without CPR/First Aid Training.
Personally, I recommend getting CPR/First Aid too! It’s also cheaper to do it with the SafeSitter program than to change your mind later and take a separate course.
Who this is for: Leaving your oldest child home and in charge of the younger, or if your child is doing some summer babysitting! Also, your child being certified gives them the opportunity to charge more than just being experienced with siblings/cousins, if they are providing babysitting services.

2nd grade children were enjoying a snack in class, one of the children began to choke on an apple slice.
While the teacher sent a student running to the nurses office for medical assistance, a 7yr old boy who had participated in CPR Training with his family due to a new sibling; jumped into action, performing the Heimlich maneuver on his classmate, and the chunk of apple dislodged and out the kiddos mouth! BEFORE the school nurse could even be notified that there was an incident occurring.
The child rescuer, took CPR in Kindergarten, and became a life saving hero!

P.S. I can also include Opioid Emergency Reversal Response training, with that you would receive free NARCAN for completion of training to have in your home. Opioid overdoses do not only happen to addicts, nor is it only for Fentanyl, it is for all opioids.

As well as other people you are around that could experience a choking event that would not be so easy to perform the Heimlich Manuevar on.

Safe @ Home is a class that teaches your child who is wanting a little more independence to stay home alone after school, before you return home from work, or stay home alone when you run errands or leave the house for any other reason.

Safe Grandparents, is a refresher course for new grandparents to prepare themselves and their homes for keeping their precious new grandbabies. So many things have changed even since I was a young mother. This instruction includes CPR, first aid, choking rescue with hands as well as using LifeVac.

*Training makes you prepared for the moment you hope you never have to experience. Gives you confidence to know how to respond calmly, without reacting in fear and unable to potentially resuscitate.

Great news! Good Samaritan Law protects bystanders who render aid! More great news!! I have a female volunteer (manikin) to normalize rescuing a female!
