Our society labels certain behaviors as healthy, but that doesn’t necessarily make them so. Skipping meals, following rigid meal plans, or cycling between restriction and bingeing are all disordered eating practices that have become normalized. But just because they are widely accepted as healthy doesn’t negate the physical and emotional harm that occurs. 😢
The best way to let go of guilt and shame around food is to reconnect with and honor your body’s natural signals through intuitive eating. 👏👏👏
