"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you."

Understanding Chakras: The Body’s Energy Centers

Chakras are energy centers within the body that influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel,” referring to spinning centers of energy that run along the spine—from the base to the crown of the head.

There are seven main chakras, each associated with specific qualities, emotions, and areas of the body. When these energy centers are balanced and open, we tend to feel grounded, clear, and aligned. When blocked or overactive, we may experience emotional imbalance, physical discomfort, or a sense of disconnection.

The Seven Main Chakras

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)
Located at the base of the spine, the root chakra is connected to safety, stability, and survival. It governs our sense of grounding and security. When balanced, we feel safe and supported. When out of balance, fear and anxiety can arise.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)
Located in the lower abdomen, this chakra is linked to creativity, pleasure, and emotional expression. It influences our ability to feel joy and connect with others. Imbalance may show up as emotional instability or lack of inspiration.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
Located in the upper abdomen, this chakra is the center of personal power, confidence, and self-worth. When balanced, we feel strong and capable. When blocked, we may struggle with control, self-doubt, or low energy.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Located in the center of the chest, the heart chakra represents love, compassion, and connection. It bridges the physical and spiritual chakras. When open, we give and receive love freely. When closed, we may feel grief, isolation, or resentment.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
Located in the throat, this chakra governs communication and self-expression. A balanced throat chakra allows us to speak our truth clearly and confidently. Imbalance may lead to difficulty expressing oneself or fear of speaking.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)
Located between the eyebrows, the third eye is associated with intuition, insight, and inner wisdom. When balanced, we trust our inner knowing. When blocked, we may feel confused or disconnected from our intuition.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
Located at the top of the head, the crown chakra connects us to higher consciousness and spiritual awareness. When open, we feel a sense of peace and connection to something greater. When imbalanced, we may feel disconnected or spiritually lost.

Working with Chakras

Balancing the chakras can be done through a variety of practices, including meditation, breathwork, movement, sound, and creative expression. Art, in particular, is a powerful way to connect with the energy centers—using color, form, and intention to bring awareness and healing to the body.

Each chakra is also associated with a color:

* Root – Red
* Sacral – Orange
* Solar Plexus – Yellow
* Heart – Green
* Throat – Blue
* Third Eye – Indigo
* Crown – Violet or White

By tuning into these colors and the emotions they carry, we can begin to notice where we feel open and where we may need attention.

A Holistic Perspective

Chakras are not something to “fix,” but something to become aware of. They offer a map—a way to understand how energy moves through us and how our inner world shapes our outer experience.

When we slow down, listen, and create space for awareness, we naturally begin to come back into balance.

How Far the Heart Goes

You learn something by loving them,
the one who waits at the door,
already certain you will return.
They know you by the sound of your steps,
by the quiet shift in your voice,
by something deeper than words.
And slowly, you begin to understand
how far the heart can go
without being asked.
A hand reaches through the dark
to find the warmth of them.
A life bends itself, almost unnoticed,
around their small needs.
You would, rearrange your days,
your energy, your plans,
if it meant their comfort,
their untroubled rest.
You do not measure this love.
You do not question its distance.
It has already taken you
further than you knew you could go.
And in this quiet devotion,
you are changed,
becoming more yourself
than you had ever imagined.

The moment you realize you don’t have to seek, fight, dismiss.

It doesn’t mean it’s gone it means you can move forward while carrying it.

It’s the, “I am” moment.

You're addicted to your problems because they've become your identity. Without your struggle story, who would you be? This is why you sabotage success, it threatens the narrative you've built about yourself. But you are not your struggles. You're the one who overcomes them. Proud of you! 🙏🏼

Research in neuroscience shows that emotional rejection, such as being ignored by someone you love, can affect the brain in ways similar to physical pain. When a person experiences silence, neglect, or social exclusion from someone important, the brain activates pathways similar to those involved in real physical injury. This helps explain why being ignored can feel deeply painful and overwhelming.

Studies using brain scans show that areas like the anterior cingulate cortex—linked to both emotional and physical pain—become active during social rejection. This shows a strong link between emotions and the body’s pain system. Being ignored or treated coldly can raise stress hormones, increase heart rate, and make anxiety worse, adding to the emotional pain.

Understanding this shows why good communication and connection are important for mental health. Even small actions like attention, care, or kind words can lower stress and build emotional strength. Being ignored is not just in the mind—it has real effects on the brain and body, showing the need for strong and supportive relationships.

Energy healing doesn't erase memories, instead, it releases them from your body, enabling you to carry them differently.
