Dear clients,
Due to recent legislative changes by the Georgia Composite Medical Board, Marissa will not be able to prescribe medications as of May 25, 2026. We will still be offering all of our services, but prescription medications will have to be provided by another provider (primary care doctor, urgent care, etc. - current clients: please discuss this with Marissa for the best option for your circumstances).

We hope that with the help of the Center for Reproductive Rights’ lawsuit, the state of Georgia will produce the necessary changes needed to reverse this restriction. In the mean time, thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate these changes in the context of still providing you safe, evidence-based, person-focused care.

This is going to be a great event with local pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and motherhood resources!

I’ll be there alongside an incredible group of local birth professionals, and it’s shaping up to be such a supportive, welcoming space for connection, education, and real conversations.

You can pop in for a bit or stay for the whole afternoon—whatever feels good for you. It’s completely free and open to the community, with sessions offered on a first come, first served basis (so coming early helps!).

I’ll also be sharing a guided mini-session on mindfulness and stress relief using FAST—simple, practical tools you can take with you and use in real life when you need them most.

It was such a pleasure to celebrate with seven fellow midwives from our area. It is all but a miracle we were all able to attend! 😅 Such a fun time getting to know each other, sharing resources, and telling stories.

We will be out of office 2/8-14 to allow Marissa to enjoy a much needed family vacation!

Current clients can still reach their midwife by phone for any concerns, but non-urgent matters (scheduling, routine health questions, labs, etc.) will be addressed upon our return. Thank you for understanding!
